In the presence and honor of H. E. Mr. ólafur Ragnar Grímsson, Icelandic President, Eimskip cold store in Qingdao was officially opened on Oct 6th, 2007. The opening ceremony stands for the establishment of strategic partnership between Eimskip and Qingdao Port. As the first investment in China,  Eimskip will build Qingdao into the major transshipment hub in Asia with the start of this cold store and possible second phase.
